Being true to yourself, giving meaning to Pneuma. The Vital Spirit.

Slight imperfections are ignored, the Spirit controls your mind.

Mirroring our past with our future.

I am the Spirit, taking over.

My inspiration Stemmed from works of Bill Henson, using imagery to captivate emotions on black canvases. Hiding the identity of its captured Subjects. Of his many works, (‘Untitled’ 2011-2012) uses lighting to uncover imperfections, an example I wanted to celebrate in the collection. With referencing to “Pneuma”, translating in Greek to the ‘Vital Spirit’. All Images use the Photographic technique called long exposure, to achieve motion blur. Symbolising the Spirit.
